"Black Ice" is a project made in the year 2021.
“Black Ice” is a pendant crafted from sterling silver, inspired by the ephemeral beauty of early winter ice forming on lakes. This particular type of ice emerges silently during cold nights before the first snowfall, when the surface remains untouched and reveals a deep, dark clarity, hence the name Black Ice.
The pendant captures the raw complexity of this natural phenomenon: the subtle cracks and fissures, trapped air bubbles, and overlapping layers that form as the ice shifts and resettles. These textures, whether etched across the surface or embedded within are translated into silver.
Uniting the many forms and movements of ice into a single, sculptural piece.
